Curtis Ray Hight, 71 of White Plains passed away on November 3, 2016, at his home. Ray was born on April 30, 1945, to the late Jasper and Helen Poe Hight. He was retired from P & M Coal Co. and a member of District 23 UMWA. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and camping. Ray loved time with his family, "picking" and joking.
Preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Hight; and sister, Linda Barnes.
Survived by his daughter, Dee Dee (Barry) Bivins of Greenville; three sons, Ricky (Misti) Hight of Madisonville, Tony (Karen) Hight of White Plains, and Jeff (Missy) Cobb of White Plains; six grandchildren, Coty, Aaron, Mallorie, Hannah, Victoria, and Donovan; four great-grandchildren, Cabri, Ethan, Livie, and Aubrey; and two brothers, Leeman (Demple) Hight of White Plains, and Neil (Shirley) Hight of Pembroke.
Service will be held at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 2:00PM with Bro. Daxton Lear and Bro. Coty Stanley officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains. Pallbearers are Brandon and Bradley Hight, Andy Putman, Darrell Putman, Roy Pace, and Bill Herring. Visitation will be 5PM - 8PM Saturday and after Noon on Sunday.
