David Ross Foster, 78 of Nortonville passed away July 30, 2016, at Baptist Health Hospital. Born November 3, 1937, to the late Jack and Nell Foster. David was an Army veteran and he retired from CSX Railroad after 34 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Also preceded in death by his brother, James Garry Foster.
Survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Iva Catherine Perkins Foster; daughter, Amy (Garry) Wright of Nortonville; two sons, Jimmy Foster of Nortonville and Tony (Lee Ellen) Foster of Marion; two stepdaughters, Vicki Faulk and Mary Froedge; three stepsons, Jimmy, Marvin, and Benjie Marks; grandson, Jeremiah Foster; 8 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Carolyn (Ralph) Hamby; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains on Wednesday at 2:00PM with Bro. John Shoulta officiating. Burial to follow in Concord Cemetery in White Plains. Visitation will be at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville on Tuesday from 5PM-8PM and on Wednesday at the church after 12PM. Pallbearers will be Benjie and Hayden Marks, Travis Hamby, Eric and Andy Putman, and Jimmy Foster.
