Leslie Dale Vandiver

Leslie Dale Vandiver, 60 years, of White Plains passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Baptist Health Hospital.  Born July 1, 1957, to the late Leslie "Cricket" and Allie Mae (Reynolds) Vandiver.  Dale was of the Christian faith and was a former coal miner for Charolais Coal.  Dale enjoyed time fishing with his sons and friends, and he loved time with his grandkids. 

Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Maggie Vandiver; sister, Janice Brasher; and brother, Wilbur Vandiver.

Survived by his wife of 41 years, Penny (Lear) Vandiver; two sons, Travis (Kristi) Vandiver of Nortonville, and Jacob (Lee Ann) Vandiver of Greenville; 6 grandchildren, Courtney, Nick, Autumn, Emma, Addilyn, and Josie; brother, James (Tammy) Vandiver of Mortons Gap; sister-in-law, Mary Vandiver of Nortonville; and several loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at Bandy Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:00AM with Bro. Charlie Spears officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00PM til 8:00PM and on Thursday from 9:00AM til service time.  Pallbearers are Leland Duke, Jeff Brasher, Ricky Crick, Jaime Lear, Nick Vandiver, and Wendell Vandiver.  Honorary pallbearers are Floyd Miller, James Vandiver, and Larry Wayne Brasher.  Condolences to the family may be made at www.bandyfuneralhome.com.
