Mary Jean Fox, 97 of White Plains passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Baptist Health Hospital. Born October 15, 1920, to the late Clarence and Stella (Goodman) Hardwick of White Plains. She was a member of White Plains Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She loved being a homemaker for her family and grandchildren, and her hands have stitched many quilts over the years. Mary enjoyed the friends she made and the time spent at The Paragon in Madisonville.
Preceded in death by her husband, Harold Fox; grandchildren, Damon Fox, Abby and Allie Slate; son-in-law, Maurice Damm; two sisters, Melba Oglesby and Jane Rogers; and two brothers, Widge and Joe Hardwick.
Survived by her children, Harold "Dude" (Judy) Fox of White Plains, David (Kay) Fox of Nortonville, and Kaye Damm of Great Bend, KS; grandchildren, Tammy Dillingham, Ryan and Travis Fox, Carol Slate, Troy and Ty Rupp, and Cortenay Damm; 17 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be held at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Danny Fireline officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. on Thursday. A private burial will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at a later date.
