Mary Agnes (Proffitt) Gunn

Mary Agnes Gunn, 93 of Nortonville passed away December 28, 2016, at Baptist Health Hospital.  Born July 12, 1923, to the late Lynn and Mable (Ford) Proffitt of Nortonville.  She was a member of New Abundant Life Fellowship Church.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. James Gunn; son, Bobby O'Neal Gunn; granddaughter, Misty Verschueren; and two brothers, Durwood and Jimmy Proffitt.

Survived by her two daughters, Ora Mae Rash of Mortons Gap and Carolyn Jean Gentry of Nortonville; three grandchildren, Cindy (Larry) Wicks of Madisonville, Jennifer (Ric) McCoy of Plainfield, IN, and Michael Gentry of White Plains; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great-grandchild; brother, Ernest Proffitt of Nortonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday at Bandy Funeral Home at 2:00PM with Bro. Steve Sandefur officiating.  Burial to follow in New Salem Cemetery with Chaplain Pat Dew.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00PM - 8:00PM and after 1:00PM Saturday.
