Mary Katherine (Brothers) Mercer

Mary Katherine Mercer, 84 of White Plains passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home.  Born January 2, 1933, to the late Alney and Laura (Grace) Brothers.  Mary was a long time member and supporter of The River.

Preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Mercer; son, Michael Mercer; grandson, John Mercer; four brothers, J.D., Earl, Jimmy and Darrell; and four sisters, Juanita, Nina, Eva, and Jean.

 Survived by three sons, James - J.L. (Kathy) Mercer of White Plains, Roy Mercer of Graham, and Timothy Mercer of Nortonville; two daughters, Carolyn (Steve) Crick and Penny (Kevin) Rice all of White Plains; 10 grandchildren, Tracie, Kim, Tammy, Cody, Caleb, Dustin, Joshua, Ashley, Jessica, and Olivia; and 9 great- grandchildren, Hailey, Brayden, Morgan, Colton, Greyson, Trevor, Abby, Isac, and Landon.

Services will be held at The River on Wednesday at 11:00AM with Bro. Howard Jones officiating.  Burial to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains.  Visitation will be at The River on Tuesday from 5:00PM - 8:00PM and after 9:00AM on Wednesday.  Pallbearers are Kenny and Colton Edwards, Trevor Wheeler, Joshua and Cody Mercer, and Paul Earl.
