Twyla Jean (Williams) Lear

It is with great sadness and relief that we announce the passing of our Momma, Twyla Jean Williams Lear, 70 of White Plains on September 23, 2016.  We are so sad that she is gone, yet so relieved that she suffers no more.

Born on October 12, 1945, to the late Virgil Dixon and Birchie Jane Williams.  She was married to the love of her life, the late Jimmy Wayne Lear, for 43 years.  Momma loved to plant flowers when she was able because she loved to see hummingbirds and butterflies fly close by.  She loved to visit and talk with family and friends, but most of all she loved her daughters and granddaughter.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her step-father, Wayne Edmiston.

Survived by two daughters, Candy Lear of White Plains and Cheri (Barry) Carlisle of Madisonville; granddaughter, Olivia Paige Lear; two step-grandchildren, Dustin Carlisle and Savannah (Gabe) Kessinger; sister, Donna (Scott) Green of Earlington; several brother-in-laws whom she thought of as brothers; nieces and nephews that she thought of as her own, especially Penny (Dale) Vandiver and Jamie (Kathy) Lear all of White Plains.  Momma will be missed tremendously by her family and friends, but especially by her fur grandbabies, Jojo (border collie), Gabby (beagle), Bruce (blue heeler), and Gracie May (cat-who has declined to openly share her grief). 

Funeral service will be at Bandy Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11am with Stan Howard officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in White Plains.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 5pm - 8pm and Tuesday after 9am.  Pallbearers are Barry Carlisle, Tony McPherson, Travis and Jake Vandiver, Trent Lear, and Bradley Littlepage.  Honorary pallbearers are Jerry and Jamie Lear.
