Avery Trent Allen, 66 of White Plains passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway in Evansville with his loved ones by his side. Born March 25, 1957, to the late Hylen Charlie and Avanell (Bruce) Allen. He graduated from South Hopkins High School in 1975 and worked at Birmingham Bolt before working at Groves Construction until retirement. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and golfing. He was devoted to his work, but more than anything he loved and cherished his time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Hope Allen; and three brothers, John Fitzgerald Allen, Anthony Gwen Allen, and Paul Wayne Allen.
Survived by one daughter, Amanda (Larry) Haynes of Nortonville; three sons, Ryan (Misti) Allen, Matt (Tina) Allen, and Nathan (Stephanie) Allen, all of Madisonville; one brother, Dwight Allen of Nortonville; his significant other, Rosa Bourland and her children, Thomas and Joel Bourland, of Madisonville; 12 grandchildren, Jordan (Darian) Allen, Trent Allen, Tyler Allen, Ryan "Boogie" Allen, Emily (Stephen) Gordon, Matt Haynes, Gage Allen, Gavin Allen, Mattox Allen, Isaiah Davis, Elijah Davis, and Aliviauna Conrad; 2 great grandchildren, Elvie-Lynn Gordon and Indi Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Sunday at 4:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church in Nortonville. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church. Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
