Glen Ray Vandiver, 85 of Mannington passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess. Born May 6, 1938, to the late Frankie and Charlene (Rodgers) Vandiver. He was a veteran of the United States Army and he was of Baptist faith. He was a diesel mechanic for Red Top Trucking Company for over 15 years and then worked for and retired from Goodyear. He enjoyed going fishing and gardening. Glen could always fix anything that was broken, he was a very good mechanic of all things broken.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Wayne Vandiver.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Claudette Snodgrass Vandiver; three children, Alan Vandiver, Timothy Vandiver and Julie Vandiver; and sister, Thelma Powell.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00p - 7:00p at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville.
Graveside service will be held at noon on Thursday at New Salem Cemetery with Hopkins County Honor Guard providing Military Rites.
