Thelma Gene Holmes, 62 of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away Thursday in the Regional Medical Center, Madisonville, KY.
Born Oct. 15, 1949 in Madisonville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Lee Roy and the late Suddie (Kirksey) Lyell.
She enjoyed be a Caregiver and spending time with all of her family and friends.
Survived by two daughters: Melinda Carter of Dawson Springs, Tammy (Michael) Carter of Dawson Springs, and three sons: Jeff (Susan) Smith of Thomson, GA, Roy Smith of Thomson, GA, and Ray Smith of Dawson Springs, KY, two sisters: Bonnie Cunningham and Wanda Stokes, and four brothers: Otho Alexander, Carl Lee Lyell, J.R. Lyell, and Jack Lyell, Several Nieces & Nephews, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Preceeded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call Saturday from 10am-11:30 am at Bandy Funeral Home, Nortonville.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Danny Lutz officiating.
Interment will be Saturday in Coles Chapel Cemetery, Crofton.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Rolley, Darrell Lyell, Allen Smith, and David Carter
