Alma Jean (Scissom) Satterfield

In loving memory of Alma Jean Satterfield, 92 of Nortonville who left this life and went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Baptist Health Hospital. Born November 29, 1925, to the late Jim and Mary (Phillips) Scissom.  She has been a member of Nortonville Baptist Church for 65 years where she was the nursery teacher for 50 years.  When she wasn’t holding a baby she was likely in her yard mowing or pruning, and on any given Tuesday she could be found at the flea market.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Satterfield; two infants, Raymond Satterfield, Jr. and Brian Keith; brother, Leonard Scissom; and sister, Elizabeth Davis.
Survived by her daughter, Patsy (Billy) Arnett of Graham; grandchildren, Laura (Eddie) Croft and Weston Arnett all of Graham; six great-grandchildren, Weston, Dylan, Hayden and Brock Arnett, Riley and Hannah Croft; sister, Renie Hale of Nortonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Saturday at Bandy Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Lee Davis officiating. Burial to follow in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday.
