Edward Grounds Obituary

Edward D. Grounds, 82 of Madisonville passed away Friday, May 3, 2019, at Baptist Health Hospital. Born November 27, 1936, to the late Mike and Nettie (Simmons) Grounds in Morganfield. He was a member of Mortons Gap Christian Church, a retired Peabody Coal Camp 1 miner and a UMWA District 23 member.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Holly Dunlap; and wife, Loretta Grounds.

Survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Lott) Grounds; daughters, Tami (Eddie) Baker of Dawson Springs and Keila Dugger of Mortons Gap; step-daughter, Donielle Russell-Covey of Madisonville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Grounds; and several nieces and nephews.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
