Floyd Leatheal Dearing, 75 of Dawson Springs passed away June 15, 2018, at Hillside Center in Madisonville. Born June 15, 1943, to the late Tommie and Vernie (Jones) Dearing. He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired from Buckhorn after 32 years, and was a member of the Gospel Temple in Princeton. Floyd was a mechanic and he loved to go hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed just getting out to ride around.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Glenda Phelps Dearing.
Survived by his children, Rita Dearing of Dawson Springs, Vickie (Richard) McGregor of Dawson Springs, Terry (Janie) Dearing of Dawson Springs, and Steve (Melissa) Dearing of Princeton; six grandchildren, Jessica Higbbee, Kayla Lloyd, Corey Joseph Dearing, Abigail McGregor, Ashlynn Dearing and Leslie Long; two great-grandchildren, Karleigh and Maddox Higbee; and brother, Phil (Patty) Dearing of Paducah.
Service will be held at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville on Monday at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Mark Engler officiating. Burial to follow in the Dearing Family cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and after 12:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
