Glen Dale Lantrip, 69 of Mortons Gap passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at his home. Born June 17, 1949, to the late Oral and Verdie (Gamblin) Lantrip. He was a Marine Vietnam veteran and a retired truck driver. He was also a mason with the Orphans Friends Lodge in White Plains and a member of the V.F.W. #5480. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Gamblin.
Survived by his son, Ryan (Jason) Lantrip; sisters, June Rash of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Peggy (Jim) Lantrip of Madisonville; special friend, Luann Heltsley; several nieces and nephews; and "the dark haired sister", Ronda Gamblin.
A memorial service with Military Rites by the Hopkins County Honor Guard will be held at Bandy Funeral Home on Saturday at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Wallyce Todd officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Baptist Health Hospice.
