Jesse Pate McGregor, 85 of Mortons Gap passed away Monday, April 1, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Born September 15, 1933, to the late William and Louisa (Crick) McGregor of Mortons Gap. Pate was a dedicated member of Union Crossroads General Baptist Church in Nortonville and a retired steel mill worker for Continental Steel. He always had a smile and a hug to share. Pate loved hunting and fishing and he could swap a good deer, turkey or fishing story with anyone. He was also a very talented at playing the guitar and singing. But above all he loved God and his family.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melba Stewart McGregor; granddaughter, Angel Hazlip; son-in-law, David Hazlip; brothers, William Eugene and James Edward McGregor; and sisters, Mary Randolph, Dorothy Huddleston and Barbara Hunt.
Survived by his daughters, Deborah (Michael) Addison of Sevierville, TN, Kimberly Hazlip of Madisonville, and Dana (Timothy) Trimble of Mortons Gap; three grandchildren, Travis Addison, Jescia (Joseph) Britton, and Emily Trimble; three great grandchildren, Braxton, Aiden, and Isaac Addison; sister, Wanda Headen of Mortons Gap; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Friday at Union Crossroads General Baptist Church in Nortonville at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Leon Smith, Bro. Terry Barnes and Bro. Barry Noe officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville from 5:00 P.M. til 8:00 P.M. and at the the church after 11:00 A.M. Friday.
Pallbearers are Timothy Trimble, Bruce Verschueren, Joseph Britton, Braxton Addison, Emily Trimble and Travis Addison.
