Kenneth Rollie Long

Kenneth Rollie Long, 81 of White Plains passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Hillside Center.  Born December 12, 1937, to the late Rolley and Verdie (Pyle) Long of Nortonville.  He attended Second Baptist Church in Mortons Gap and served in the U.S. National Guard.  He enjoyed gardening and selling vegetables at roadside stands.  He also enjoyed visiting with his customers and giving vegetables to his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Verdena (Townsell) Long; sisters, Louise Blades, Dorothy Franklin, and Mary Ruth Clark; brothers, Jewell and William Long.

Survived by his children, Kenneth Long of Madisonville, Mark (Teresa) Long of Madisonville, Jennifer (Bo) Bruce of Manitou and Lee (Kim) Long of Nortonville; 6 grandchildren, Brandon and Nathan Long, Hannah Outlaw, Holly Atterbury, Kendra and Hunter Long; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Service will be held at Bandy Funeral Home on Friday at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating.  Burial to follow at Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
