Margaret Louise Howard, 85 of White Plains passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. Born October 28, 1933, to the late Richard and Mary (Phelps) Moore of White Plains. She was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church and worked at the U.S. Post Office for more than 30 years. She was a member of Homemakers for over 55 years, started with the Mortons Gap group and was currently part of the Little Prairie group in White Plains. Crocheting was a productive hobby of hers, she had been making baby afghans for her beloved family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Howard, Sr..
Survived by her sons, Barry (Johnna) Howard of Hopkinsville, Ricky Howard of White Plains; daughters, Mary Gomer, Melody (Billy Groves) Vandiver and Vicki (Darrel) Marsh all of White Plains; 13 grandchildren, Jacob (Jaclyn) Howard, Jordan (Jessi) Howard, Sarah (Luke) Swagger, Ashly Andry, Matt (Mary) Gomer, Josh Howard, Dana Miller, William and Brian Vandiver, Jared and Gwen Groves, Mallory and Austin McCutcheon; 12 great-grandchildren, Allison Pugh, Hunter and Olivia Andry, Collin, Barrett and Emerson Howard, Josie and Jett Howard, Lucas Gomer, Kinley, Cruz and Cannon Swagger; sister, Carolyn (Roy) Qualls; and brothers, Johnny (Nancy) Moore and Ronnie Moore all of White Plains.
Service will be held at Bandy Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Don Wilson officiating. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. til 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday.
