Melissa Ann Allen

Melissa Ann Allen, 47 of Cerulean passed away May 30, 2018.  Born March 21, 1971, to the late Clarence and Eva (Phelps) Allen.  She was a CNA at Outwood and NHC before retiring.  She was a fun loving kid at heart that enjoyed time with family, especially the kids, and never turned down a photo opportunity.  She also loved animals and was a volunteer at the CHristian County Animal Shelter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Lear; nephew, Clarence Virge; and niece, Azaria Davis.

Survived by her life partner, Shannon Merrick; sisters, Etha (Robert) Steele and Loretta DeArmond all of Earlington; brothers, James Allen of Madisonville and John Allen of Dawson Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Ronald Lafona officiating.  Burial to follow in Fuller Cemetery in Nortonville.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
