Norris Wayne Furgerson

Norris Wayne Furgerson, 79 of Madisonville passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at Tennova Medical Center in LaFollette, TN.  Born September 29, 1939, to the late Luther David Furgerson and Mary Elizabeth (Mannahan) Furgerson of Nortonville.  He was an Army and U.S. Reserves Veteran and a retired mine inspector.  He attended Madison Avenue Church and was a UK Wildcats fan.

Preceded in death by his son, Terry Furgerson; 2 brothers, Clarence and David Furgerson; 3 sisters, Lorene McCargo, Corene Rickard and Ilene Reynolds; brother-in-laws, Thomas Pendley and Albert Reynolds.

Survived by his grandson, James Wayne Furgerson of Jellico, TN; brother, George (Patricia) Furgerson of Madisonville; sister, Carolyn Pendley of Hopkinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Tuesday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville at 2:00 P.M.  Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at noon until service time.
