Ramona Fairleigh Alexander, 89 of Nortonville went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 18, 2018, at NHC Healthcare. Born January 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ruby and Naomi (Cavanaugh) Miller. She was a lifetime member of New Salem Baptist Church where she was pianist and organist for many years and a member of the Eastern Star Nortonville Chapter. She was Valedictorian of her class at Nortonville High School and worked at Head Start in Madisonville because she loved helping the children. She and her husband always enjoyed traveling and enjoyed planning the next trip. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Otho Alexander.
Survived by son, Clifton (Angie) Alexander and daughter, Stacie (Kenneth) Stanley all of Nortonville; four grandchildren, Amber (Larry) Barber, Tara (Brad) Hight, Tristan (Ashley) Stanley all of Nortonville, and Cory (Heather) Alexander of Madisonville; six great-grandchildren, Alexa (Trey) Brady, Olivia Barber, Joy and Clay Alexander, Marissa Stanley and Sage Hight; and two great-great-grandchildren, Roman and Bellamy Brady.
Service will be held at New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Steve Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Bandy Funeral Home on Monday 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and at the church on Tuesday after 11:00 A.M. Pallbearers are Cory Alexander, Tristan Stanley, Brad Hight, Trey Brady, Jimmy Cavanaugh, and Doug Grace.
