William Layton Parrish

William Layton Parrish, 86 of Madisonville passed away November 3, 2019, at Hillside Center in Madisonville.  Born July 28, 1933, to the late Thomas and Mildred (Meacham) Parrish in Nashville, TN.  He was a member and Deacon of Assembly of God in Donaldson, GA, before moving to Kentucky where he began attending Lake Grove Baptist Church.  He was U.S. Navy veteran from Korean War time.  He obtained his masters degree and worked as an aeronautics engineer for the U.S. Government and NASA.  

Preceded in death by his wife, Jan Parrish; wife, Ava Kent Parrish; daughter, Barbara Parrish; brother, James Bradley; and sister, Frances Parrish.

Survived by his daughters, Cindy Parrish of California, Nancy (Kent) Scott, Rose (Tom) Joles, Faye Smth and Cecilia Kent; sons, Jimmy Parrish of California, John Woodruff and Bill (Robin) Woodruff; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  

Memorial service will be held at Shyflat Church on Saturday, November 23, at 2:00 P. M. With Bro. Joles officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P. M.
