Angela Hope Orten

Angela Hope Orten, 70 of Dawson Springs passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, in Providence.  Born November 13, 1952, to the late Forrest and Katherine (Norris) Orten.  She was an active member of Evening Light Tabernacle in Elkton.  She had a God given talent for playing the piano and she used her talent to help spread His word.  Angela was “Maw” to everyone, friend or family.  She was a wonderful mom and grandmother, she lived her life for her family.  

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Orten; granddaughter, Makayla Emerson; nephew, Jeffery James; and son-in-law, Troy Weaver.

Survived by her 5 children, Julia (Richard) Wilson of Arizona, Naomi (William) Emerson of Henderson, Luke Gray of Dawson Springs, Adam Gray of Dawson Springs and Alyssa (Shelby) Myers of Dawson Springs; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Freda (J.C.) James of Richland, Shirley (Richard) James of Dawson Springs, Judy (William) Fulks of Dawson Springs, Steve (Sandra) Orten of Dawson Springs and Wynona (Dewayne) Bruce of Princeton; and sister-in-law, Sheila Orten.

Graveside service will be held Saturday at noon at McKnight Cemetery in Dawson Springs with her grandson, Caleb Weaver, officiating.
