Arthur Gene Grace, 81 of Nortonville passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at his home. Born March 10, 1943, to the late William Jewell and Ada Fay (Knight) Grace of Nortonville. He was a long standing member of Trinity Gospel Tabernacle. He was a retired coal miner and proud member of UMWA District 23; he enjoyed his coal mining years and thought of his co-workers as brothers. He stayed busy with hunting and fishing and collecting antiques. Gene had a comedic way of saying things and his facial expressions. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and caregiver to his wife and for his unwavering love for his family.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda (Stanley) Grace; brothers, William Grace and Jimmy Grace; sisters, Edith (Billy) Lester, Juanita (Jimmie) Cavanaugh; and half brother, Junior Allen.
Survived by his son, Brian (Tiffany) Grace of Cecilia, KY; 4 grandsons, Riley, Tyler, Brady and Carter Grace; brother, Johnny (April) Grace; and sisters-in-law, Katherine Grace and Irene Grace.
Service will be held Tuesday at 3:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Brad Payne officiating. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00p - 7:00p and Tuesday after 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home.
