Austin Levi Dakota Skimehorn

Austin Levi Dakota Skimehorn, 23 of White Plains passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025.  Born July 7, 2001, to Jeremy L. Skimehorn and Ashley (Barnes) Moore.  He was a member of the 2019 graduating class of Hopkins County Central High School.  Austin began going to work with his dad at Meuth Concrete as a child and later earned his CDL license and his own job with the company.  He then went to work with his current employer, Young Concrete, where he was a dependable and loyal employee.  When not at work Austin spent most of his time at Western KY Speedway with his racing community and friends doing what he loved.  He also enjoyed being outdoors hunting, bow fishing and kayaking.  He had a big infectious smile and an even bigger heart that touched many.

He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Mack Moore; and great-grandmother, Nadine Bryant.

Survived by his parents, Jeremy and Christy Skimehorn of White Plains, and Ashley Moore of White Plains; grandparents, Danny and Martha Skimehorn, Robby and Sandra Barnes, and Preston and Kaye Moore; sister, Lexi Moore; brothers, Cody Brunson, Jordan Wells, Ryan Brunson and Gage Skimehorn; aunts, Brooke Pendley and Robin Barnes; and several cousins.

Service will be held Sunday at 2:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Brad Payne officiating.  Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in White Plains.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 4:00pm - 7:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm until service time at Bandy Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Joseph Hughlett, Curtis Phaup, Blake Griffin, Derrick Griffen, Jr., Jordan Wells and Logan Graham.  Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Greer, Cody Brunson, Wall-e Gipson, Howard Pendley and Alan Young.
