Belinda Jo (Whitfield) Cox

Belinda Jo Whitfield Cox, 66 of Madisonville passed away peacefully Friday, May 3, 2019, at Baptist Health after a long illness. Born April 7, 1953, to the late Joseph and Laurel Whitfield. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and professed Jesus Christ as her Savior. She worked at Regional Medical Center from 1971 until her retirement a few years ago. Belinda was an avid reader, a UK Wildcats fan, and a great cook to which her friends and family were thankful to enjoy.

Preceded in death by her father, Joseph Carroll Whitfield; and in-laws David and Wandalea Cox.

Survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Paul Cox; son David Carroll Cox; mother Laurel Whitfield; sister Tina (Steve) Nichols; brother-in-laws Bill Cox and Lee (Iris) Cox; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Tuesday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville at 2 p.m. with Bro. Steve Rutherford officiating. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville. Visitation will be held Monday 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday after noon. Prior to visitation friends and family are welcome to pay their condolences at her mother's home.
