Betty Faye (Harvey) Matheny

Betty Faye Matheny, 77 of Nortonville passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at Baptist Health Deaconess.  Born August 2, 1946, to the late Henry and Margaret (Young) Harvey of Nortonville.  She attended New Abundant Life Fellowship when she was able.  She worked as a store clerk for many years and also had a history of being a sitter for the elderly.  Betty loved her family and was the caretaker of her family, always keeping up with everyone and helping in any way possible.  

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Matheny; daughter, Belinda Fox; and brothers, Donnie Harvey, Roy Harvey, Cecil Harvey, David Harvey and Larry Harvey.

Survived by her daughter, Anita (Terry) Crick; 4 grandchildren, Jenny (Brock) Sorrells, Nathan (Keri) Baldwin, Brandon Crick and Travis (Morgan) Baldwin; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters-in-law, Ethel Harvey, Peggy Harvey and Pearl Ford.

Service will be held Tuesday, December 5, at 2:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Brad Payne officiating.  Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville.  Visitation will begin at noon at the funeral home.
