Carolyn Jean (Gunn) Gentry

Carolyn Jean Gunn Gentry, 74 of Nortonville passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, at her home.  Born on October 8, 1950, and her parents were the late, James and Mary (Proffitt) Gunn.  She was a previous member of Life Point Church in White Plains.  She retired from GE Aircraft in Madisonville after approximately 38 years of service.  Jean enjoyed going to eat with "the GE Girls" and spending time with other members of the local Red Hat Society.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Gentry; and daughter, Misty Verschueren.

Survived by her son, James Michael Gentry; granddaughter, Kari Ann Verschueren; sister, Ora Mae Rash; and nieces, Cindy (Larry) Wicks and Jennifer McCoy.

Service will be held Thursday at 12:00pm (noon) at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville.  Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm and Thursday from 10:00am until service time at Bandy Funeral Home.
