Charles Ray Renshaw, 78 of Madisonville passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at Madisonville Health and Rehab. Born September 30, 1945, to the late Earl and Gladys (Carpenter) Renshaw of Nortonville. He worked as a coal miner at Island Creek Coal and was a UMWA member. He was a fan of UK football and basketball, and he liked to go fishing. He was a good husband, step-father and grandfather to his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, John Renshaw and Mary McGregor.
Survived by his wife of more than 35 years, Barbara (Durham) Renshaw; stepdaughters, Misty (Jason) Whicker of Madisonville and Mandi Morgan of Madisonville; 2 grandchildren, Ashlyn Pendley and Ryan Moore; and one great-grandson, Kayden Pendley.
Service will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will begin at noon at the funeral home.
