Clyde Ray Smith

Clyde Ray Smith, 66 of Earlington passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.  Born April 21, 1955, to the late Rayford Smith and the late Nordell (Camplin) Smith Scott Sappington.  He worked in plumbing for many years, along with construction and maintenance.  Clyde never met a stranger, always ready to drink coffee and chat with everyone.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling, he had a happy-go-lucky personality about him.  Most of all Clyde loved his family and would do anything for them.

Preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Smith and Perry Smith.

Survived by his sisters, Zelda Alexander and Doris (Mark) McNary; brothers, Billy (Karen) Scott and Harry (Li F Fan) Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Brad Payne officiating.  Burial will follow at Cranor Cemetery in St. Charles.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  

Due to Covid-19 masks are mandated and social distancing is required by attendees.  Anyone that has or has had signs/symptoms or has tested positive in the past 14 days is requested to not attend.
