Danny Ray McGar

Danny Ray McGar, 74 of Hopkinsville passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.  Born June 14, 1950, to the late Daniel and Jessie (Overton) McGar.  He attended Crofton Community Church and was retired from FP International.  Danny enjoyed going fishing and was a long-standing Chicago Cubs Baseball fan.

Preceded in death by his wife, Diann Brasher McGar; and sister, Faye Lyons.

Survived by his daughters, Cyndi (Jeff) Whittinghill of Hawesville and Angela (Richie Gernon) Morris of Hopkinsville; grandson, Will Moore; and brothers, Wayne (Pat) West of Louisville and Tony McGar of Mayfield.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00am Friday at Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton with Bro. Ricky Hicks officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:30am graveside.
