David Ray Stanley, 81 of Nortonville passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at his home. Born September 9, 1939, to the late Johnnie and Lillie (Keith) Stanley of White Plains. He worked for Charlois Coal as a coal miner before retirement. David was a member of Orange Grove General Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 40 years and he taught the adult Sunday School class for many years. He was also a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean (Groves) Stanley; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
Survived by his three children, Michael Ray Stanley of Nortonville, Debra Kay (Billy) Clark of Nortonville and Donna Jean (Brian) Harper of Pendleton; granddaughter, Katie Clark of Clarksville, TN; and three btrothers, Glenn (Joyce) Stanley, Roy (Sue) Stanley and J.H. Stanley.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Stanley Cemetery in Nortonville with Rev. Jerry Sweeney officiating and burial to follow. Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M. graveside.
