Deborah Lynn Hopper, 72 of Crofton passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at her home peacefully. Born February 2, 1952, to the late Clifton and Mary Katherine (Orange) Jones. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville and a graduate of Caldwell County. Deborah transported and helped her Amish community neighbors for several years. She loved turning her house into a home and cooking for her family, and she had a knack for gardening and landscaping around her house. She jumped at a chance to travel to the mountains or the beach. Deborah also shared her musical talent by playing the piano for her church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Michael D. Jones and Stephen E. Jones; and sister-in-law, Gwyn Hopper.
Survived by her beloved husband, Kevin G. Hopper; children, Lori (Hicks) Humphries and her husband Bobby, Jim Hicks, Jason (Penny) Hopper and Michelle Hopper; brother, Daniel L. (Teresa) Jones; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joy (Terry) Bullock; and brothers-in-law, Alan Hopper, Lindsey (Diana) Hopper and Thad (Kim) Hopper.
Service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday at New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville with Bro. Steve Rutherford, Bro. Johnnie Davis and Bro. Calvin Bryant officiating. Burial to follow at Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm and Tuesday from 11:00am until service time at the church. Pallbearers are Dan Jones, Brad Jones, Jason Hopper, Garrett Hopper, Jake Hopper and Luke Hopper.
