Doris Lee (Stembridge) Holmes

Doris Lee Stembridge Holmes, 90 of Nortonville passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at her home.  Born April 20, 1933, to the late Rosie Wells Thomason of Anton.  She was of Baptist faith and was a homemaker most of her life.  She loved to watch old westerns and anything Elvis.  She enjoyed traveling throughout her life and enjoyed flying.  Her joy in life came from time spent with her children, grandchildren and especially the great-grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Andrew "Sherlock" Holmes; and son, Greg Holmes.

Survived by her sons, Dwight (Mauretta) Holmes of Madisonville and Terry (Robin) Holmes of Murray; grandchildren, Tristan (Fallon) Holmes, Jessica (Dustin) Blue, Ian (Harshitha) Holmes and Victoria Holmes; great-grandchildren, Oaklee, Luken and Bekett Holmes, Emarie Blue and Kairav Holmes.

Service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Dennis Mayfield officiating.  Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville.  Visitation will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home.
