Douglas Wayne Hughlett

Douglas Wayne Hughlett, 79 of Nortonville passed away September 25, 2022, at his home.  Born February 26, 1943, to the late John Douglas and Joyce (Whitfield) Hughlett.  He worked many years as a coal miner and then over-the-road truck driving, getting to know and talk to his coworkers was enjoyable to him.  Family was always important to him, maintaining his connection with his children, grandchildren and his siblings.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Atkins Hughlett; grandson, Brandon Hughlett; and brother, David Hughlett.

Survived by his children, Anita Hughlett Powell of White Plains and James Hughlett of Nortonville; sister, Brenda (Gary) Collins of Nortonville; 5 grandchildren, Greg (Katie) Hughlett, Jamie (Matthew) Galbraith, Lyssa Powell, Kylah (Steven) Clark and Andrew (Stephanie) Hughlett; 3 step-grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
