Duane "Gannie" Keith Camplin, 69 of Nortonville passed away Monday, January8, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess. Born October 5, 1954, to the late James "Jim" and Gola "Dot" (Eli) Camplin. He always felt his calling in life was ministry and he was a dedicated servant to God. Duane's goal in life was to be a man in whom God was well pleased. He also loved his family dearly, they brought him much joy by just being a presence in his life.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Timothy Camplin; and sister, Beverly “Tarep” Smith.
Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Rosie Adams Camplin; daughter, Chasity (Alan) Morgan of Crofton; grandchildren, Adrianne (Kyle) Daniel, Gabby (Cole) Igleheart, Hunter Perry, Brennan Morgan, and Cari Morgan; great-grandchildren, Memphis Daniel, Haeston Daniel and Rex Igleheart; brother, Hillus (Pam) Camplin; sister, Vada (Darel) Whitfield; daughter-in-law, Tabatha Perry; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Service will be held Saturday at 1:00pm at House of Prayer Church in Nortonville with Bro. Alan Morgan officiating. Burial to follow at Gilland Ridge Cemetery in St. Charles. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Hunter Perry, Brennan Morgan, Kyle Daniel, Cole Igleheart, Jack Camplin, Mike Adams, Dwight Camplin and John Adams.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Bandy Funeral Home in his honor.
