Earl "Buddy" Bradley Cobb, 75 of Nortonville passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, IN. Born June 22, 1947, to the late Bradley and Clara Cobb of White Plains. He worked as head custodian for the Hopkins County School system for over 30 years and he ran a saw mill cutting cap boards for many years. Earl enjoyed the community, his co-workers at the school and helping all of the kids. He stayed busy mowing yards around town. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Belinda Cobb; sister, Adell Groves; and brothers, M.C. Cobb, Otis Cobb, J.W. Cobb, Robert Cobb and Jimmy Cobb.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Virginia Randolph Cobb; children, Charles (Cathy) Cobb of Nortonville, Peggy (Wayne) Payton of Mortons Gap, Kathy (Rafe) Pendley of Hanson, Starla (Scotty) Groves of Nortonville and Shelly (David) Minchey of Crofton; sister, Ruby Pemberton; 11 grandchildren, Johnny Dukes, Katrina (Logan) Cobb, Allen (Michelle) Cobb, Kyle (Brittany) Nordhaus, Kris Nordhaus, Heather (Lynn, Jr.) Vincent, Cameron Pendley, Connor Pendley, Kesha (Rick) Payne, Zack (Danielle) Cobb and Ashton Groves; 14 great-grandchildren, Allie Dukes, JonJon Dukes, Brittany Dukes, Bentley Cobb, Easten Cobb, Ember Cobb, Brayden Cobb, Skyler Vincent, Gabriel Vincent, Payton Vincent, Haven Ellis, Katie Payne, Molly Payne and Rachel Payne; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Tuesday at 3:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Roy Skinner officiating. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Lynn Vincent, Jr., Allen Cobb, Cameron Pendley, Kyle Nordhaus, Kris Nordhaus and Zack Cobb. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles "PeeWee" Cobb.
