Edith Carolyn (LaPradd) Rice

Edith Carolyn Rice, 68 of Madisonville passed away Monday, May 20, 2024.  Born November 21, 1955, to the late William and Katie (Vandiver) LaPradd of St. Charles.  She worked at Carhartt for many years.  She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and spent time crocheting.  She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her 3 brothers, David LaPradd, Darrell LaPradd and Joey LaPradd; and her sister, Judy Messamore.

Survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Francis Rice; children, Perry Hunt of Madisonville, Angie (Larry) Steele of Madisonville, Leauna Rice of Nebo, Mike (Jean) Rice of Chicago, IL, Donna (Ron) Eades of Chicago, IL, James (Robin) Rice of FL and Frankie Rice of FL; 19 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Leon LaPradd of Madisonville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville.  Burial to follow at Gilland Ridge Cemetery in St. Charles.  Visitation will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home.
