Jimmie Carroll Hankins

Jimmie Carroll Hankins, 79 of Madisonville passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family.  Born January 15, 1940, to the late Samuel and Martha (Lynn) Hankins.  He belonged to Island Ford Baptist Church and spent his working years as a carpenter.  He loved time spent with his family.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Phyllis Hankins; brothers, Lexi Denver "LD" Hankins and William Hankins; sisters, Shelby Calvert and Dee Justice.

Survived by his children, Patricia Benton, Carol (Loman) Scarbrough, Terri (Chris) Rodgers and Jerry (Tiffany) Hankins; grandchildren, Zach and Caitlyn Benton, Christian Oglesby, Dustin, Peyton, Ethan and Kira Scarbrough, Hannah and Jacob LaRose, Erin Stewart, Chloe, Jeremy and Mackenzie Hankins; great-grandchildren, Korbin Law, Ryder and Olivia Oglesby, Makenna LaRose and Brinlynn Alba; brothers, Clarence (Linda) Hankins and Charles Hankins; sisters, Shirley Shelton, Irene (Jim) Farris, Betty Davis and Martha McKnight.

Service will be held at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville at 2:00 P.M. with Loman Scarbrough officiating.  Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington.  Pallbearers are Zach Benton, Matt Oglesby, Dustin and Ethan Scarbrough, Chris Rodgers and Jerry Hankins.  Honorary Pallbearers are Korbin Law, Ryder Oglesby and Jeremy Hankins.  Visitation will be from noon til service time at the funeral home.
