Jimmy Wesley Blanchard, 75 of Nortonville passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent of Evansville. Born March 29, 1946, to the late Abraham and Euda (Hancock) Blanchard. He was a member of Castleberry General Baptist Church for over 40 years where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and Treasurer. He was a coal miner throughout life and a member of UMWA District 23. Jimmy's favorite hobby was to go fishing and he jumped at the chance when he could go. He was a great family man and friend, always willing to lend a hand.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, David Blanchard; sister, Robbie Gossett; and infant brother, Jerold Blanchard.
Survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Teresa Bullock Blanchard; 2 children, Steve (Christi) Blanchard of Nebo and Julie (George) Pryor of Hanson; 6 grandchildren, Steven, Hilari, Jacob, Justin, Michael and Toni; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Cheryl (Lynn) Shanks of Naples, FL.
Service will be held Monday, March 14, at 1:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Brown and Bro. Patrick Baxter officiating. Burial to follow at Castleberry Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bill Clark, Bryant Clark, Brandon Clark, John Blanchard, Michael Pryor and Jacob Abell.
