Jimmy Leeon Camplin, 64 of Dawson Springs passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Baptist Health Deaconess. Born September 21, 1957, to the late James and Hilda (Vandiver) Camplin. He enjoyed working as a coalminer for many years with most of his time spent at Pleasantview Coal. Jimmy was talented at playing the guitar, he loved it. He looked forward to vacations to the mountains. When he was at home he was likely mowing the yard or tinkering with the lawnmower.
Preceded in death by his parents, James Lee Camplin and Hilda Lavon Vandiver Camplin; and grandparents, Nelson and Pauline Camplin, and Jesse and Justine Vandiver.
Survived by his wife of 22 years, Belinda (Brady) Camplin; children, Alison (Cody Mercer) Camplin-Mercer of Central City, Nathan Camplin of St. Charles, Shawn (Tanya) Littlepage of Nortonville, Shane Littlepage of Nortonville and Heath (Crystal) Littlepage of Nortonville; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Tonya (Harold Williams) Camplin-Williams of Brandon, Florida; and a niece and nephew both of Florida.
Service will be held Saturday at 2:00p.m. at Living Word Christian Center in St. Charles with Bro. Brad Payne officiating. Burial to follow at Gilland Ridge Cemetery in St. Charles. Visitation will begin at the church at 12:00p.m.
