Joe Kenneth Stanley

Joe Kenneth Stanley, 79 of Nortonville passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Baptist Health Hospital.  Born April 29, 1939, to the late Carl and Eudell (Whitfield) Stanley of Nortonville.  He was a long standing member at The River.  Over the years he has owned grocery stores and enjoyed farming, he loved to go rabbit hunting, and most of all spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents; and his son-in-law, Johnny Dunlap.  

Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred (Carlton) Stanley; children, Kenneth (Stacie) Stanley, Kiwania Dunlap, Geary (Lois) Stanley and Cindy (Kenneth) Browning; 9 grandchildren, Tara (Brad) Hight, Tristan (Ashley) Stanley, Jason (Heather) Dunlap, Travis (Devon) Dunlap, Selina Browning, Nathan Browning, Ashlee (Brad) Lee, Tosha (Brandon) Smith and Jacob (Allie) Stanley; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lillie Groves.

Service will be at The River on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Howard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at The River on Monday from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. and after 9 :00 A.M. on Tuesday.  Pallbearers will be Tristan Stanley, Brad Hight, Jason and Travis Dunlap, Nathan Browning, Jacob Stanley, Brandon Smith and Brad Lee.
