Johnnie Basil Aldridge, 74 of Nortonville passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess. Born August 16, 1951, to the late Carlston "Cowboy" and Nora Bell (Jarvis) Aldridge of Nortonville. He worked as a bus driver for the Hopkins County School Board for 32 years and he volunteered as a 4-H Advisor for 20 years due to his willingness to help and mentor to the local youth. Johnnie was a volunteer with the South Hopkins Fire Department for about 6 years. He had a love and appreciation for the cowboy way of life; he enjoyed horses and was a member of the Parkway Saddle Club and he would hitch a team for a wagon ride. Watching his grandson, Daniel, bull ride brought him great pride and joy. "Poppy" was a great babysitter for the great-grandkids and he loved it. Johnnie would travel to keep Reginia happy, but he kind of liked it too. Johnnie was a good man that loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Erin Aldridge Guasp Trout; and grandson, Daniel Guasp.
Survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Reginia (Fuller) Aldridge; granddaughters, Michaela (Wesley) Steward of Nortonville and Sidda (Michael Pendley) Guasp of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Westin Guasp, Braeden Steward and Zaid Pendley; and sister, Janet Aldridge of Nortonville.
