Joseph Alan Smiley, 24 of Madisonville passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Born March 26, 2002, to Rusty Smiley of Madisonville and to Crystal (Bess) Littlepage of Nortonville. He was a 2020 graduate of North Hopkins High School and earned his associate degree from Madisonville Community College. He worked as a Biomedical Technician for Trimedx in Bowling Green for the past two years. Joseph was a member of The River in Nortonville; he loved Jesus and spent time studying and reading the Bible. He enjoyed attending Christian Concerts. Joseph's idea of a good day was going for a hike, Hunter's Bluff was one of his favorite spots to explore. Known by his family for his simple easy personality and for finding joy in the small pleasures in life.
Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mikey Littlepage and Jimmy Camplin; and uncles, Travis Bess and Johnathan Spriggs.
Survived by his parents, Rusty Smiley of Madisonville and Crystal & Heath Littlepage of Nortonville; 3 siblings, Madison Littlepage, Braydin Littlepage and Elijah Smiley; grandparents, Sarah & Randy Wells of Madisonville, Danny & Sharon Spriggs of Madisonville, Tony & Liz Bess of Dixon, Belinda Camplin of Dawson Springs and Wayne & Ann Smiley of Princeton; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Service will be held Sunday at 2:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Tod Hill officiating. Burial to follow at Slaughters Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Braydin Littlepage, Dylan Skimehorn, Alex Pendley, Jason Brown, Tanner Bess and Alden Merrill.
