Joseph Tyson Obituary

Joseph Lee Tyson, 80 of Nortonville passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Baptist Health Hospital.  Born August 1, 1939, to the late Roy and Hallie (Mercer) Tyson.  He was a faithful member of New Salem Baptist Church where he could likely be found if there was a service.  He was a truck driver throughout life and a Teamster member.  He was a Coca-Cola collector, a Nascar enthusiast, and he had a love for gardening his watermelons.  Always an anchor for his girls and grandchildren which he loved deeply.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly Allison Tyson; and brother, Dallas Glen Tyson.

Survived by his 3 daughters, Sharon Tyson, Laurie Bruce and Tracy Tyson all of Nortonville; 4 grandchildren, Allison Bruce, Judd Tyson, JoDee Tyson and Jessie Tyson; great-grandson, Kelby Tyson; brother, Warren "Chico" (Annie) Tyson; sisters, Patty Wilson, Joyce Browning and Phyliss Sowell; and many nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held for family.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Video of the service will be posted at www.bandyfuneralhome.com.
