Joyce (Choate) Bean

Wilma Joyce Bean, 82 of Nortonville passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home.  Born August 7, 1941, to the late Edward and Eula Choate.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church in Nortonville.  Joyce enjoyed sewing and cooking throughout her life.  She was a cookie jar collector and she also had a doll collection.

Preceded in death by her son, Eddie Lee Cornell; and siblings, Richard Choate and Helen Foe.

Survived by her husband, Harold Bean; son, Matthew Bean of Dawson Springs; step-son, Curtis Chaney of Madisonville; sister, Judy Fee of Madisonville; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Service will be held Saturday at 1:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Daniel Vandiver, Bro. Ruby Rickard and Bro. John Culberson officiating.  Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home.
