Juanita (Grace) Cavanaugh

Juanita Grace Cavanaugh, 81 of Hanson passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at home with her daughter at her side.  Born July 23, 1940, to the late William Jewel and Ada Faye (Knight) Grace.  She was an active member at New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville for over 60 years.  She was able to serve the Lord as a Sunday School teacher, help with Vacation Bible School, and cook for church meals to name a few things.  She was a Pink Lady volunteer for the hospital for many years.  Juanita enjoyed her many trips to Florida with her husband and family over the years, her most recent was just a few weeks ago.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmie Cavanaugh; sister, Edith Lester; and brothers, Jimmy Grace and Jr. Knight.

Survived by her son, Stephen Cavanaugh of Pembroke; daughter, Deb (Lewis) Dixon of Madisonville; grandchildren, Lydia Brothers of San Antonio, TX, and Garrett Brothers of Hanson; brothers, William Tutor (Katherine) Grace, Johnny (April) Grace and Arthur Gene (Brenda) Grace; in-laws, Martha Jo Lewis, Carolyn (Larry) Phaup, Rita (Larry) Yandell, Norma Cavanaugh, Jeannie Cavanaugh, Irene Grace and Rev. Doug Stradder; and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at 1:00pm Monday at New Salem Baptist Church in Nortonville with Bro. Steve Rutherford officiating.  Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 11:00am at the church.  Pallbearers will be Dr. Brian Grace, Brady Grace, Riley Grace, Carter Grace, Tyler Grace, Jarrod Cavanaugh and Patrick Hook.
