Kenneth Ray Long, 65 of White Plains passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital. Born October 31, 1956, to the late Kenneth and Verdena (Townsell) Long of White Plains. Kenny earned a master's degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse (RN) for many years. He worked at Western State Hospital locally but also worked as a travel nurse throughout the U.S. and internationally too.
Survived by his siblings, Mark (Teresa) Long of Madisonville, Jennifer (Bo) Bruce of Mortons Gap and Lee (Kim) Long of Nortonville; 3 nieces, Hannah (Jeff) Morgan, Holly (Nathan) Attebury and Kendra Long; 3 nephews, Brandon (Andrea) Long, Nathan (Jennilin) Long and Hunter Long; 10 great-nieces and nephews; and his dog, Jessie.
Service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Jonathan Harralson officiating. Burial to follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
