Kristopher Robert Stearsman

Kristopher Robert Stearsman, 51 of Mortons Gap passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess.  Born November 23, 1973, to the late Michael and Nancy (Norvell) Stearsman of Mortons Gap.  Kris was a South Hopkins High School class of 1991 graduate.  He lettered in football and baseball all 4 years before attending Shawnee Junior College in Ullin, IL, to continue his baseball career.  Kris was always a sports enthusiast, especially the local high school sports.  He has spent time throughout the years giving lessons and helping with the local baseball programs.  Kristopher usually had a smile and a willingness to help his friends in need when he could.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his aunt, Virginia Davis; and uncle, Mike O’Bryant.

Survived by his aunt, Mary O’Bryant of North Carolina; uncles, Robert (Tina Fisher) Stearsman of Elizabethtown and James (Debra) Norvell of Hopkinsville; and several cousins.

A private service for family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers and gifts the family request donations be made to the Hopkins County Central High School Baseball program or the American Diabetes Association in his honor.
