Linda Faye Johnston, 84 of Nortonville passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2022, at Baptist Health Deaconess. Born April 28, 1938, to the late Virgil Amos and Margaret (Lovan) Woodward of Mortons Gap. She attended Madisonville First Assembly Church, previously attended Mortons Gap Second Baptist and she was a Rebekah several years ago. She worked at Harvey's and the Quick Pick years ago and spent several years as a seamstress for Carhartt. In retirement years she enjoyed playing Rook and Skipbo, Bowling or working puzzles, and crocheting. She loved time with her family.
Preceded in death by her husbands, William Daniel Chapman and William P. Johnston; son William Amos Chapman; grandson, Randy Joe Hayes; great-grandson, Jamos Morse; and siblings, LaRue Braden, Thomas Blue Woodward and Nathaniel Woodward.
Survived by her daughter, Lois (Michael) Oglesby; stepchildren, Mike Johnston, Jeremy Johnston and Trina Gamblin; brother, Jerald Woodward; grandchildren, Keisha (Kevin) Mullins, Shane (Monica) Chapman, Danielle (Steve) Morse, Michal (Adam) Wiley and Tonya (Stephen) Hardy; great-grandchildren, Joseph Connor (Alexandrea) Ipox, Aiden Ipox, Elizabouth Mullins, Mikayla Mullins, Alex Mullins, Jenna Mullins, Natalie Chapman, Bailey Chapman, Olivia Morse, Tori Morse, Trevor Hardy, Samara Hardy, Lillian Hardy, Daan Wiley, Seth Wiley and Micah Wiley; great-great-grandson on his way, Noah Grayson Ipox; and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Saturday at noon at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Chris Manning officiating. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am at the funeral home.
