Linda Kay Wells, 73 of Hanson passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess. Born September 22, 1950, to the late Eugene Davis and the late Luzetta (Crick) Davis Oglesby of Nortonville. She worked for The Pantry for many years until retirement. Linda enjoyed staying active in her community and in different organizations such as the Hanson Lions Club and the Master Gardeners Club. She was a volunteer at the Glema Mahr Center and at her grandchildren's schools and booster clubs. She had an interest in genealogy and the historical society, she enjoyed reading and gardening. Linda loved her family and enjoyed taking care of and helping them in anyway that she could.
Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Gayle Wells; brother, Bradley Davis; and sisters, Virginia Clifton, Helen Pentecost and Edith Martin.
Survived by 3 daughters, Sherry Adamson of Madisonville, Cathey (Billy) Jones of Hanson and Miranda Wells of Hanson; 8 grandchildren, Amanda (Lee) Gray, Jonathan Stanley, Cody Tirey, Hunter Carter, Jesse Jones, Caleb Wells, Katelyn Jones and Ryan Jones; 9 great-grandchildren, Ethan Gray, Trysten Minton, Cason Tirey, Cara Tirey, Cali Tirey, Raylen Tate, Jayden Stanley, Cyrus Tate and Drake Jones; brother, Ruben Davis of VA; 2 sisters, Retha Clower of FL and Alice Perry of Hanson; and sister-in-law, Joyce Hall of Nortonville.
Service will be held at noon on Friday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm and after 10:00am on Friday at the funeral home.
